A Daring Journey Through Time

Step into the year 3026, a future where artificial intelligence governs a world on the brink of collapse. In this bold, original cabaret, Alex Lam embarks on a sonic odyssey—3026: A Cantopop Odyssey—to discover what truly defines human existence. As machines prepare to shut down humanity, one family—the Lam clan—turns to the power of music as the ultimate proof of love, legacy, and connection.

The Artistic Vision

Directed by Eugene Ma, this multi-act cabaret weaves together local and international cinematic melodies, bridging the gap between the past, present, and future. Joined by musical director Jerold Chu, a five-piece live band, and the Lunar Antz youth chorus, Alex Lam reimagines iconic Cantopop hits from the golden 1980s. Through these evocative performances, the show asks a profound question: if music is our last repository of human value, what does it tell the machines—and ourselves—about who we are?
