Highlights

The Immersive Throwing Workshop (Deep Dive into Pottery Wheel) is an advanced course designed for students with fundamental experience in ceramics. Beyond acquiring professional throwing techniques, participants are encouraged to use the potter's wheel as a tool for immersive practice, discovering the tranquility and self-healing nature inherent in the craft.

Program

Under the guidance of instructor Li Tsz-leung, this workshop invites students to build upon their existing foundations by exploring the use of blended clays. Participants will develop their own tactile sensibilities and integrate personal creative forms into their works. The program focuses on deepening the experiences gained at the beginner level, emphasizing the harmony of "Body, Mind, and Intention." Students are encouraged to develop a sense of confidence and relaxation, enjoying the ceramic process while exploring their unique artistic path and future style.

Enrollment Requirements

This is an advanced-level course; participants must have prior foundational ceramic experience. Suitable for ages 16 and above. The workshop is conducted in Cantonese.

Venue & Access

The sessions take place at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, Wan Chai. The tuition fee includes HK$250 for materials and firing fees.

Ticketing

The course fee is HK$3,390. Various discounts are available:

• 5% Off: Enrollment in pairs, former students of short courses (who have completed two consecutive terms and are enrolling in the next), current Hong Kong Arts Centre Ambassadors, and alumni of the Hong Kong Art School's award-bearing programs.
• 10% Off: Hong Kong Arts Centre members (Single/Joint, Patrons, Corporate Patrons) and holders of the Hong Kong Senior Citizen Card.
• 20% Off: Current students of the Hong Kong Art School's award-bearing programs.
