Overview
'Dog Rising' is a profound work by choreographer Clara Furey. Like three celestial bodies oscillating in orbit, the piece unfolds into a psychedelic and sensory ritual. Continuing her exploration from 'Cosmic Love,' Furey delves into how sound penetrates bones and how vibrations flow through the body, showcasing the tension between primal impulses and mechanical rhythms. Dancers Justin De Luna, Baco Lepage-Acosta, and Brian Mendez construct a resonant stage architecture through cyclic movements, transforming impact and discomfort into joy and power. Clara Furey's original music adds depth to this extreme journey, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in a captivating spiral.
Highlights
As part of the European collaboration project 'ACT: Art, Climate, Transition,' 'Dog Rising' reflects on the era of climate crisis and social inequality, calling for hope and action through movement. It is an immersive experience focused on release, sustainability, and rhythmic vitality.
