Overview
The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (HKCO) has long been committed to the promotion and development of Chinese symphonic music. The "International Conducting Competition for Chinese Music," now in its 5th edition, serves as a premier platform for young conductors worldwide to refine their craft and showcase their professional prowess. Following the preliminary and semi-final rounds held in Wuxi in collaboration with the Wuxi Chinese Orchestra—where participants engaged in immersive cultural excursions—the competition now culminates in the Final Concert in Hong Kong.
The Final Concert
Three finalists have been selected to compete for the ultimate honors. During this highly anticipated final concert, each conductor will lead the renowned Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra through a series of set works. The audience can expect to witness intense artistry and diverse interpretations as these rising talents demonstrate their leadership, technique, and deep understanding of the Chinese orchestral repertoire.
Venue & Access
