In this course, participants will follow veteran artist Keung Chi-ming to learn how to authentically capture the atmosphere and details of classic cinema through the stroke of a brush.
Program
The course content is comprehensive and systematic. It begins with the historical and cultural background of hand-painted movie posters, guiding students through the creative processes of traditional movie advertising. Under professional guidance, students will learn the fundamentals of visual communication, including portrait sketching, typography, spatial composition, and color theory to render cinematic moods and emotions. Through sketching, composition trials, and color application, participants will create their own unique movie posters, culminating in a final sharing and evaluation session at the end of the course.
