The Hong Kong Ballet presents an exclusive opportunity for local dancers to refine their technique under the mentorship of internationally acclaimed artist Alessandra Pasquali. This masterclass, held on May 24, 2026, offers a rare look into the training standards of top-tier global dance companies.
About the Artist: Alessandra Pasquali
Born in Italy and trained at the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School in England, Alessandra Pasquali has built a distinguished career spanning decades. From 1993 to 2005, she performed with the Vienna State Opera Ballet, appearing in iconic works by choreographers such as MacMillan, Nureyev, and Balanchine. In 2005, she joined the Berlin State Ballet under the direction of Vladimir Malakhov, where she was promoted to Ballet Mistress in 2011. Currently, she is a sought-after guest teacher, collaborating with world-renowned companies including The Royal Ballet in London and La Scala di Milano. She is visiting Hong Kong to assist choreographer Vladimir Malakhov with the staging of The Sleeping Beauty.
Masterclass Focus
This masterclass is designed for advanced dancers looking to enhance their artistry, classical lines, and stage presence. It is a high-level session, and participants are expected to meet specific prerequisites:
- Age: 13 years old and above.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of ballet training.
- Level: Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Advanced 1 or equivalent.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction in a professional studio setting, focusing on both technique and the subtle nuances of performance that define a world-class dancer.
Observation Opportunities
Recognizing the value of learning through observation, the academy also offers limited observation spots for dance teachers and parents. This is an excellent way to gain insight into high-level pedagogical techniques and the rigor of professional-grade ballet training.
