Overview

Yulianna Avdeeva, the winner of the 16th International Chopin Piano Competition, is celebrated worldwide for her captivating stage presence and artistic depth. Praised by The Telegraph for her "flexible and chameleon-like" playing, she remains one of the most influential pianists today, returning to the Chopin Competition in 2025 as a jury member.

This recital is anchored by the number "12," curating a program that traverses the works of masters such as:

  • Pierre Boulez: 12 Notations
  • Maurice Ravel: Pavane pour une infante défunte
  • Dai Fujikura: Quiet Offering (Hong Kong Premiere)
  • Maurice Ravel: Valses nobles et sentimentales
  • Frédéric Chopin: 12 Etudes, Op. 25

A highlight of the evening is the Hong Kong premiere of Quiet Offering by Japanese composer Dai Fujikura, a work co-commissioned by Avdeeva herself.
