An Immersive Exploration of Space and Memory
As a highlight of the Asian Avant-Garde Film Festival 2026, M+ is proud to present 'Tracking Nomadism', a commissioned work featuring a unique collaboration between Emirati photographer Lamia Joreige and Singaporean sound artist Vivian Wang. This live film performance invites audiences to delve into the ephemeral nature of modern life and the architectural environments we inhabit.
The Artistic Vision
In this deeply conceptual project, Joreige’s striking, large-scale photographs are woven into a visual flow that reflects on social, cultural, and psychological layers of architecture. Paired with Vivian Wang’s live musical score—a tapestry of ambient sound, electronic textures, and pure acoustics—the performance transcends simple observation. It evokes a haunting sense of presence, collective memory, and the aspirations that persist even as spaces are built, occupied, and eventually abandoned.
Programme Details
This event is part of the broader Space Enter Shift festival, running from May 29 to May 31, 2026.
