Adapted from the bestselling novel by Ye Wenbiao, 'The Code of the Qingming Scroll' is a stage play that uses the famous Northern Song Dynasty painting, 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival,' as a blueprint for a suspenseful mystery set in Bianjing. The plot revolves around Zhao Buyou, a lawyer who finds himself entangled in two bizarre cases: the 'Plum Boat Case' and the 'Eight Sons Case.' As the investigation unfolds, the superficial prosperity of the capital gives way to the hidden dangers and political undercurrents of the era. It is a brilliant blend of historical atmosphere and edge-of-your-seat suspense.
