Musicus Heritage Masterclass Series: Sounds of Heritage - 'Melodies of Flavours'

The Musicus Society is proud to present a series of String and Chamber Music Masterclasses as part of the 'Musicus Heritage Stories' project, generously supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant. This year's edition, 'Melodies of Flavours' (百味樂章), explores Hong Kong's rich cultural and historical tapestry, set against the backdrop of the iconic Tai Kwun (大館).

Masterclass Programme

We are honoured to host two distinguished international musicians who will share their expertise and provide guidance to young local music students. These masterclasses are free to the public, though registration is required as spots are limited.

1. Robert's Viola and Chamber Music Masterclass

• Date: May 26, 2026 (Tuesday)
• Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• Venue: Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Music Hall Rehearsal Room CR1
• Details: Featuring works such as J.S. Bach's Cello Suite No. 3, Bruch's Romance, and Dvořák's Piano Quintet No. 2.

2. Betz-Lony's Violin Masterclass

• Date: May 30, 2026 (Saturday)
• Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Venue: Tai Kwun, Jockey Club Cube
• Details: Featuring masterworks by Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Khachaturian.

Interested participants or observers can register for these sessions via the Art-mate platform. Please note that seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are kindly reminded to observe the venue's house rules, including no photography or recording during the masterclasses.
