Program
Created by the iconic duo Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, the story is told through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. It explores the final days of Jesus, diving deep into the relationships and internal struggles of figures like Mary Magdalene and his disciples. The score, rooted in iconic 1970s rock, features timeless hits such as 'Superstar,' 'I Don’t Know How to Love Him,' and 'Gethsemane,' creating a visceral, emotionally charged narrative that transcends generations.
Performers & Production
This Olivier Award-winning production is reimagined from the original London Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre version. Led by director Timothy Sheader and choreographer Drew McOnie, the creative team features industry veterans including set designer Tom Scutt, lighting designer Lee Curran, sound designer Nick Lidster, and music supervisor Tom Deering.
