At a bustling ferry crossing, lives intersect, yet enduring connections remain elusive. In a small town on the border of Sichuan and Hunan, Cui Cui lives a simple, song-like existence with her grandfather, the old ferryman. The arrival of brothers Tianbao and Nuosong brings ripples of romance into her quiet world. However, while fate brings them together, it also orchestrates heartbreaking misses, leading to irreversible partings and loss—the departure of Tianbao, the sudden disappearance of Nuosong, and a tragic accident involving her grandfather. Left in the darkness, Cui Cui transforms her waiting into a singular, unwavering candlelight, preserving a stubborn and tender glimmer of hope.
