Event Overview

"Unseen Narratives: Raising Her Voice Through Art" is a collaborative arts initiative presented by Women's Journal and Enrich HK. This project serves as an empowerment platform designed specifically for Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) in Hong Kong. By utilizing diverse artistic expressions and storytelling techniques, the project encourages participants to explore personal identities, challenge societal stereotypes, and reclaim ownership of their lives within a safe and inclusive environment.

Highlights & Program

The event features a comprehensive program comprising eight art workshops and a concluding public exhibition. The workshops delve into themes of community building, art as a medium for resistance and empowerment, maternal perspectives, and leveraging art for social change.

  • Public Exhibition: Featuring artworks created by MDW artists, this segment highlights their struggles, contributions, and unique perspectives to increase social visibility.
  • Interactive Sessions: Engage in various workshops including Eco-Printing on T-shirts, Tote Bag Painting, and Collective Live Painting.
  • Human Library: An opportunity for the public to connect deeply and listen to the lived experiences of these women through direct storytelling.

Performers & Facilitators

Organized by Women's Journal and Enrich HK, the project is facilitated by the Women's Journal Team and Arabella Chong, Founder of the Art For All Club, who guide participants in translating their personal narratives into artistic statements.
