The Hong Kong Art School (HKAS) and RMIT University proudly present the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) Graduation Exhibition 2026, titled "Semordnilap". This highly anticipated showcase features the works of 34 graduating students from the BAFA programme, representing the culmination of years of rigorous artistic training, conceptual development, and creative exploration.

The Theme: Semordnilap

Inspired by the linguistic phenomenon where a word, when read in reverse, becomes an entirely different word, the theme "Semordnilap" (a reversal of "palindromes") serves as a powerful metaphor for the students' artistic journeys. Just as stressed transforms into desserts and reviled shifts to deliver, this exhibition explores the pivotal moments of transition. It invites visitors to step into the gap between the end of an academic chapter and the beginning of a professional artistic career. Through these works, students invite the audience to rethink our current era, finding the force of change in inversions of perspective and the transformation of meanings.
