Program Overview
“Dear (Anne): A Polyphonic Dialogue on Rescue” is a profound artistic experiment exploring contemporary ethics and survival. Inspired by the “Resusci Anne” training mannequin, which traces its origins back to the mask of an unknown girl from the Seine in the late 19th century, the exhibition bridges the gap between cold medical training and humanistic concern. It challenges audiences to reflect on how we define “help” in a crisis-prone society.
Exhibition Highlights
- Multidisciplinary Exploration: Artists utilize a diverse array of media, including painting, non-traditional calligraphy, mixed-media installations, audio pieces, video, and AI technology, to translate the abstract concept of “rescue” into a tangible spatial experience.
- Ethical Inquiry: Building on the 2021 exhibition “Little Albert,” which examined the conditioned reflex of fear, “Dear (Anne)” shifts the focus to active interpersonal connections, transforming visitors from passive observers into active participants in an ethical dialogue.
- A Dialogue of History and Future: By deconstructing the symbolism of the “Resusci Anne,” the exhibition re-examines the role of art in society and challenges labels regarding the necessity of creative work.
