About the Program
The Hong Kong Dance Company returns with the 4th edition of its "Wind Thunder Dance Platform," presenting a brand-new contemporary dance work: "Miss Me, Come Look at My Paintings!" This production is created by the artistic duo "Xuan Nian Space" (Shi Xuan and Zhou Niannian), who are active in both China and Germany. This work is more than just a dance performance; it is a cross-cultural artistic experiment that bridges traditional and modern sensibilities, weaving dance, music, and immersive visuals into a cohesive multi-sensory stage experience.
Highlights
Inspired by the artistic philosophy of the 20th-century Chinese master Wu Guanzhong, this production invites audiences to step into the artist's inner world. Choreographers Shi Xuan and Zhou Niannian utilize their extensive experience in cross-disciplinary creation to develop a delicate and vivid artistic language. Throughout the performance, form and spirit echo one another, allowing audiences to feel the rhythm of life through physical movement while exploring the complex, fluid relationship between humanity, society, and nature. It is both a sensory feast and a deep reflection on the continuity of creative thought.
