MTR x HKPM: Egyptian Civilization Encounter Tour

The MTR Corporation has teamed up with the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) to present the enchanting 'Egyptian Civilization Encounter' exhibition tour. Starting from May 28, 2026, this city-wide initiative transforms transit spaces into portals to the ancient world. The beloved MTR mascot, 'Railty' (鐵仔), has donned pharaonic attire to join forces with the popular 'Pharaoh Cat'—a character inspired by the museum's major 'The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Treasures of Ancient Egypt' exhibition.

Journey Through Time Across Nine Landmarks

This immersive tour spans nine strategic locations across Hong Kong, including key transit hubs like Admiralty Station, Central Station, West Kowloon Station, Hung Hom Station, Kowloon Tong Station, Kowloon Bay Station, along with Elements and Maritime Square. At the flagship Hong Kong Station transit tunnel, visitors will encounter a 1.4-meter-tall Pharaoh Railty and a grand pyramid installation, creating a perfect backdrop for social media photos.

Interactive Experiences and Audio Guides

Attendees are invited to participate in the 'Hieroglyphic Interactive Zone', where you can translate your name into ancient Egyptian characters. To deepen your cultural journey, the tour features an exclusive 'Starry Audio Guide' hosted by popular radio DJ 'Ah Ching' (黃正宜), who provides vivid insights into the connections between ancient Egyptian civilization and our local community.
