Curated by the Hong Kong Chamber Music Association, this concert brings together the brilliant violinist Tan Yun-Jing and esteemed pianist Andrew Li for an intimate evening dedicated to the violin sonatas of Johannes Brahms. Set in the elegant concert hall of the Ladies' Recreation Club, this performance promises a uniquely immersive chamber music experience.

Program

Brahms’ three violin sonatas are presented as a triptych of emotional landscapes. The concert guides the audience through the composer’s internal world, spanning from gentle nostalgia to intense passion:

• Violin Sonata No. 1 in G major, Op. 78 ("Rain"): Reflective and tender.
• Violin Sonata No. 2 in A major, Op. 100: Characterized by its clarity and lyrical fluidity.
• Violin Sonata No. 3 in D minor, Op. 108: A dramatic climax of profound intensity.

Performers

• Tan Yun-Jing (Violin): A rising star on the international circuit, known for her sensitive phrasing and technical mastery.

Note: Total duration is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. No seat assignment. Admission is for ages 8 and above only.
