Program

The first half focuses on the works of Joe Hisaishi, including the beloved 'Merry-Go-Round of Life' and 'Deep Heart' from the film score of Howl's Moving Castle as part of his Symphonic Variation, alongside the emotionally resonant Viola Saga featuring soloist Mei Diyang. The second half shifts towards the profundity of the classical repertoire with Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98. Widely regarded as a pinnacle of the symphonic repertoire, this work exemplifies Brahms' innovative command of structural form, blending intense emotional weight with a timeless, romantic spirit.
