Highlights
This unique multi-media event brings director Gu Benson’s film project "Tu" to life, merging physical theatre performance with a film trailer screening. It invites the audience into a deeply moving world exploring themes of destiny, life, death, and spirituality.
Program
Inspired by an urban legend from the late 1980s at the Cheung Sha Wan Slaughterhouse, "Tu" follows the story of a buffalo that stops eating as its slaughter date approaches, shedding tears and kneeling before the butcher to beg for mercy. Touched, the butcher pauses the process. Days later, he discovers the buffalo is pregnant, prompting a profound decision. The event features a physical performance by Yu Tsz Wing, complemented by a live musical score from River Jiang, creating an immersive experience that examines human nature and morality.
