Overview

The Fei Tong Troupe presents 'Dream of the Red Chamber', a sophisticated opera adaptation of the Chinese literary masterpiece. Under the artistic direction and lead performance of Leung Fei-tung, the production utilizes exquisite vocal techniques and traditional stagecraft to bring the poignant and intricate love story of Jia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu, and Xue Baochai to life, offering audiences an immersive and emotionally resonant theatrical experience.

Cast

The production features a star-studded ensemble. Alongside Leung Fei-tung as Lin Daiyu, the role of Jia Baoyu will be performed by Wang Zhiliang, Man Wah, and Leung Chun-man across the three-day run. Key supporting roles include Xiaoyu as Xue Baochai, special guest Wong Siu-fung as Wang Xifeng, Fu Shuwang as Cao Xueqin/Jia Zheng, Liao Guosen in a cross-dressing performance as Grandmother Jia, as well as performances by Lu Lisi, Situ Kaiyi, Chan Tin-tung, and many others.

Half-price concessions are available for seniors aged 60+, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students, and CSSA recipients (excluding $450 tickets). Venue & Access

The performances will take place at the Ko Shan Theatre New Wing Auditorium (77 Ko Shan Road, Hung Hom, Kowloon). Patrons are encouraged to arrive via public transport.
