As part of the "START FROM HERE" series, PMQ Picture Book Library presents "Picture Book Metamorphosis," an exhibition by Hong Kong designer and picture book creator Benny Lau. The exhibition examines the presence of the picture book as an object, analyzing how scale, shape, binding, and paper texture influence rhythm and emotional connection. Benny Lau, a seasoned creator and creative educator, demonstrates how picture books transcend their role as mere vessels for content, evolving into three-dimensional theaters, table-top exhibitions, or interactive props, pushing the boundaries of visual experiments and spatial aesthetics.
