The story behind the 'Rewind 2014' album is a legend in itself. The nine songs on the album originated from archives stored on the hard drive of former guitarist Hsieh Hung-Yu for ten years, capturing a full year of collaboration with lead vocalist Chris (Lo Yu-Ting) and drummer Xiao Bai (Wu Bo-Ting) before his departure. A decade later, the trio has not only salvaged these tracks but has grown both mentally and technically to finally realize the sound they originally envisioned. This performance is not just a 'rewind,' but a heartfelt tribute to the wild, noise-filled era of Taipei's shoegaze scene.
The first half of the concert will transport the audience back to the classic shoegaze sound, while the latter half will explore the band's more diverse influences, weaving through Krautrock, Post-Punk, and even Industrial Rock, showcasing the evolution of Manic Sheep over the years.
