Program Overview

'Cavalry' is the first large-scale original dance drama in the history of Chinese stage art to focus on the theme of cavalry. Through vigorous and expressive dance, the production depicts the bravery and sacrifice of cavalrymen on the battlefield. The drama is divided into six acts; the first half explores the theme of 'choice,' focusing on the protagonist Chao Lu's resolute decision to join the Inner Mongolia Cavalry and the powerful bond he forms with his warhorse, 'Gala.' The second half shifts to the theme of 'loyalty,' where dancers use intricate movements to vividly portray the power and fidelity of the warhorses. This work is not only a historical reflection but also a profound tribute to the resilient spirit of the heroes on horseback, interpreting the deep bond of life and death shared by the cavalry.
