Program Introduction
Choreographer Yan Xiaoqiang integrates multimedia design and technology with dance to present an emotional dialogue between traditional dance and modern technology, characterized by the 'intertwining of yin and yang' and the 'coexistence of virtual and reality.' Inspired by DNA double helix structures and the Fuxi Nuwa painting, the work 'Helix' uses the 'spiral' dynamics of Chinese dance as a foundation. It captures the essence of vitality and perpetual motion, exploring the origins of life and symbolizing the inheritance, evolution, and integration of Chinese cultural genes.
In this digital era, where we are constantly racing against time, this performance invites audiences to reflect on the eternal philosophy of the universe and life found in Chinese tradition, offering a forward-looking theatrical experience.
