The Cultural Arts Cantonese Opera Association is proud to present three classic Cantonese operas at the Ko Shan Theatre from July 25-26, 2026. This performance series features a group of talented artists dedicated to bringing these traditional, emotionally resonant stories to life for local audiences.

Program

The series features three distinct and beloved Cantonese opera classics:

• 'Flower Field Eight Happiness' (花田八喜): A vibrant and comedic traditional play centered around the romantic entanglements at a lively festival.
• 'The Butterfly Lovers' (樓台會): Based on the legendary Liang Zhu story, this performance depicts the tragic yet enduring love story of the star-crossed lovers.
• 'Riding the Phoenix and Ascending the Dragon' (跨鳳乘龍): An engaging and witty comedy that showcases the charm and unique nuances of traditional Cantonese opera.

• Concessions: Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, seniors aged 60+, people with disabilities and their minders (one minder per disabled person is entitled to the same discount), and recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA). Note: The $420 discounted ticket is only applicable to the B-tier seating area.
