The title, "Locus Amoenus," is a Latin term for an idyllic, pastoral sanctuary, representing shelter, abundance, and harmony. Ryan Villamael utilizes this ongoing series to explore the intricate layers of historical and collective memory, mapping the invisible threads that connect individuals to a specific place. In this immersive environment, visitors are encouraged to wander through a forest-like setting and actively participate in the installation's growth.
