Presented by the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the popular "Good Music This Lunch" concert series returns for the 2026/2027 season, offering a peaceful oasis of beautiful music amidst the bustle of city life. This series allows music lovers to enjoy high-quality chamber music performances during their lunch break, providing a refreshing midday escape from busy schedules.
Program
This concert features a carefully curated selection of classic and beautiful pieces, showcasing the talents of our ensemble. The program includes:
- Mozart: Clarinet Quintet in A, K581 (1st Movement)
- Herzogenberg: Trio for Oboe, Horn and Piano, Op. 61
- Française: Divertissement for Bassoon and String Quintet
- Sinding: Serenade No. 2, Op. 92 (2nd and 5th Movements) These works explore the delicate emotions and richness of chamber music, making them perfect for relaxed, midday appreciation.
Performers
The concert features talented members of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and guest artist Colleen Lee (Piano). The performers include Clarinetist Chan Chau-yuen; Violinists Hui Yau-ka, Peng Xiao-yun, Lee Chun-lam, Liu Cheuk-yin, and Chan Cheuk-long; Violists Tang Wing-suen and Long Junwei; Cellists Cheung Pui-chit and Yip Chun-hei; Bassoonist Liu Tung-po; Oboist Xu Zhiyu; Horn player Puderhua; and Double Bassist Peng Wen. Together, they will showcase the charm of chamber music in various instrumental combinations.
Venue & Access
The concert will be held at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall. Located in Central, it is easily accessible by MTR (Central Station). The concert lasts approximately one hour, providing a perfect opportunity for busy urbanites to relax and enjoy music during lunch.
Ticketing
Admission is free, and no registration is required. Please collect your tickets at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall reception on the day of the concert and take your seats as assigned.
