The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) is set to present "Swire Denim Series: Vincent Dubois and the Magic of the Rieger Organ" at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. This concert promises an unforgettable auditory experience, showcasing the grandeur of the "King of Instruments"—the organ—with a performance by renowned titular organist of Notre-Dame de Paris, Vincent Dubois, alongside the award-winning conductor Emmanuel Tjeknavorian.

Highlights

The centerpiece of the evening is Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3 in C minor, famously known as the "Organ Symphony." Utilizing the 8,000 pipes of the Rieger organ at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the performance will unleash a powerful, ethereal, and majestic soundscape that defines the pinnacle of symphonic and organ collaboration. In addition, conductor Tjeknavorian will present his own arrangement of Khachaturian’s "Gayane" Suite, capturing the vibrant and energetic essence of the composer's work. The program is rounded out by Richard Strauss's Festival Prelude, Op. 61, ensuring a festive and artistically rich evening for all music lovers.
