The Story

[Yellow Poisonous Rain Warning in Effect] In an absurd, apocalyptic world where the sky is perpetually a gloomy purple, toxic rain slowly erodes the window frames of the city, and explosions of unknown origin echo from the street corners. As society crumbles, most people are hunkered down, preparing to flee. Yet, in a leaking, power-flickering office, a small group of people remains steadfast. They pick up the receiver, day after day, answering calls from the loneliest and most terrified citizens in the city.

"Hello, Brightline. You've found someone to talk to now."

This is not just a story about the apocalypse; it is a story about human connection. Despite being at risk themselves, they promise to answer every call within three rings. In an era where the grand world offers no salvation, these individuals choose to put their hearts to the receiver, finding warmth in the desolation.
