Pacific Basin Family Fun Day

Overview

To mark the International Day of the Seafarer, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum will be open to the public free of charge on June 27, 2026. This year's Family Fun Day is themed "Safe and Secure at Sea," focusing on the resilience of seafarers as they overcome challenges to support global trade, highlighting the core maritime values of safety, care, and responsibility.

• Interactive Fun: Enjoy games and information booths, a specialized ship simulator for kids, a dedicated photo zone, and temporary tattoo stations.
• Exhibitions & Tours: Join guided tours led by curators to discover Hong Kong's maritime history. Don't miss the new educational project "Art Container Voyage" and the exhibition "The Victoria Harbour and Us" in Gallery B6, featuring historical photos from the 1960s to the 1970s.
• Deep Dive Sessions:
  • Seafarer's Human Library: Engage with young seafarers from Pacific Basin as they share stories of life at sea and explore shore-based career opportunities.
