Core Heritage Programmes
The festival highlights local identity through diverse themes:
- Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs: Deep-dive into the history of the temple with insights from Dr. Lee Yiu Fai, the Principal Bursar and a national-level heritage bearer. Don't miss the exhibition on Wong Tai Sin religious artifacts and calligraphy.
- Masterclass Series: Hear from renowned masters like Dr. Yuen Siu-fai on the intricate art of Di Shui Nanyin, and learn about Cheongsam (long gown) tailoring and Guqin making from recognized preservation bodies.
- Interactive Workshops: Engage directly with tradition through our specialized sessions, including Nanyin singing, Dragon Boat Festival Zongzi (rice dumpling) making, Chinese ornamental knotting, and Guqin fundamentals.
- Free Carnival Activities: Enjoy open-access workshops including the Song-style pearl fan making, traditional rubbing art, and meditative sutra copying.
How to Participate
Registration is required for specific sessions via our official online form. Many events operate on a first-come, first-served basis, while free carnival activities are open for walk-ins at the temple grounds.
