Community Festival (Sha Tin District)

Overview

The Community Festival is heading to its fifth destination: Sha Tin! This year, we are taking over the historic and charming Sha Kok Estate. Sha Tin is known for its cycling tracks and the Shing Mun River, but Sha Kok Estate holds its own special place in local memory with its iconic 'mushroom pavilion' (Tonggu Ting) eateries and uniquely named residential blocks.

Over the past few months, we have engaged with local residents, NGOs, designers, and students through continuous site visits and workshops. We are now ready to transform the estate's open public spaces and recreational platforms into a vibrant arts hub, bringing creativity into the very heart of the community's daily life.
