Renowned saxophonist Ng Hon-sun is widely recognized as one of the most dynamic and accomplished musicians in Hong Kong. In this solo recital, part of the 'Hong Kong Artists' Series, Ng will showcase his diverse musical expertise, spanning classical, free improvisation, and contemporary repertoire. This concert represents not only a milestone in his career but also a profound artistic dialogue designed to offer the audience a refreshing auditory experience.
Performers
Ng Hon-sun boasts high international acclaim. As a core member of the acclaimed Vienna-based saxophone quintet 'Five Sax,' he has participated in over 200 concerts globally and released the celebrated album 'In Time' in 2024. In addition to his quintet work, he serves as the Artistic Director of 'Asia's Morning,' an ensemble of elite saxophonists from across Pan-Asia. As a soloist, he has collaborated with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Symphony Orchestra, and has performed as a guest with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

Beyond his stage presence, Ng is deeply committed to music education. Currently teaching at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, he is frequently invited to host masterclasses at institutions such as the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Osnabrück University of Music, and the Cap Ferret Music Festival.
