About the Artist

Yau Kwan-lam holds a Master of Music degree (Distinction) from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where she studied under master musicians Sun Yongzhi and Tam Po-shek. A recipient of the RTHK "Young Music Maker 2019" award and Gold Award winner at the 5th "Songting Cup" National Dizi & Xiao Invitational Competition, Yau is highly regarded for her delicate yet profound performance style. She is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of traditional Chinese wind music.
