Blue House Mid-Autumn 2026 - Hand-painted Lantern Workshop

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Blue House cluster revitalization, the Blue House is hosting the "Hand-painted Lantern Workshop" for the Mid-Autumn Festival. This event serves as a platform for neighbors to gather and for the community to connect, preserving the unique historical sentiment of the area.

Program

This year marks the fourth year of lantern displays at the Blue House. Participants will have the opportunity to hand-paint their own lanterns, which will become part of a collection of over 600 lanterns on display. The workshop is led by illustrator Esther Illustration.

• Workshop Details: Participants will create one lantern (to be displayed, and can be reclaimed after the exhibition period). Participants will also have access to the signature Blue House balconies for photo opportunities.
• Gifts: Attendees will receive a Leaffy eco-friendly cloth, a Green Ladies coupon, and a coupon for SuNian or Liffee.
• Follow-up: Participants are eligible to enter the "Lantern Photography Competition 2026" for a chance to win limited edition Blue House gifts.

Important Notes

• Suitable for ages 6 and above.
• Proceeds after costs will go towards cultural conservation at the Blue House (We-Wah Blue House is a registered charity in Hong Kong).
• We-Wah Blue House is not liable for any damage or loss of works caused by environmental factors during outdoor display.
• Pets are not permitted in this workshop.
