Overview
As the concluding chapter of the 'Schubert's Life as a Play' trilogy, 'Reunion' invites the audience to follow the footsteps of the wanderer into the wilderness. The program begins with the 'Impromptu D935', searching for solace amidst the restless energy of the 'Three Piano Pieces D946'. Building on the previous two years of performances—which included the 'Impromptu D899', 'Wanderer Fantasy D760', and various sonatas (D958, D664, D959)—this concert finds its final destination and rest in Schubert's ultimate masterpiece, the 'Sonata D960'. It serves as a powerful conclusion to a journey filled with despair and disillusioned hope.
