The JCCAC (Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre) proudly presents the second installment of its 'Art Chong Forward' series: 'Peach Blossom Spring', a solo exhibition by artist Tsay Wai-kwok. Drawing inspiration from poetic imagination, this exhibition invites the public to discover a sanctuary of peace amidst the bustling city of Hong Kong.

The Vision

Named after the famous 'Peach Blossom Spring' (a metaphor for a hidden utopia), the exhibition reflects Tsay’s deep observations of daily life. Her works serve as a bridge between the city’s past and present, capturing fleeting moments of beauty in an ever-changing environment. Visitors can expect a diverse collection of artworks including:

  • Local Delicacies: Depictions of iconic Hong Kong street food.
  • Iconic Transport: Illustrations of double-decker buses and trams (Ding Ding).
  • Urban Heritage: Maps of traditional Mid-Levels architecture and oriental garden aesthetics.

Artistic Significance

These pieces, some previously published in the literary magazine Being Hong Kong, are highly regarded for their cultural value. Notably, some of her works have been collected by the M+ Museum research centre, cementing her status as an artist who documents the era through an authentic lens. By preserving scenes that are slowly fading away in the flow of time, Tsay invites viewers to ponder their own memories of this city.

Venue and Accessibility

The exhibition is hosted at 'The Shepherds & Their Floating Duckweed' (牧羊少年與他的浮萍), located at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. This atmospheric venue provides the perfect backdrop for a serene art experience. Please note the event runs daily from May 18, 2026, to June 18, 2026.
