Step into a profound journey of introspection with SingFest as they present St. Matthew Passion Reimagined at the Tsuen Wan Town Hall. This immersive performance series, directed by Artistic Director Apollo Wong, invites audiences to confront the complexities of the human soul through the timeless music of J.S. Bach.
A Journey Through Four Perspectives
This project deconstructs Bach's monumental work into four core themes: Grief (殤), Regret (悔), Abandonment (棄), and Justice (義). Each session serves as a contemplative space where music, movement, and silence intersect. Through the collaboration of Music Director Lin Ho-yan, Music Shaper Liao Tze-cheng, and Dance/Movement Therapist Chan Wan-lok, the audience is encouraged to reflect on personal experiences through a sequence of evocative movements.
Performance Schedule
The series spans from June 25th to June 28th, 2026. Each day features two distinct sessions, offering deep dives into the thematic explorations:
