This performance celebrates their thirty-year journey, showcasing the profound maturity and impeccable synergy that have defined their career.

Program

The program is thoughtfully curated to reflect both the quartet's roots and its innovative spirit. Audiences will experience Haydn’s intensity in the String Quartet in F minor, Op. 20, No. 5, and the emotional depth of Schubert’s masterpiece, 'Death and the Maiden' (D. 810). A special highlight is the Asian premiere of 'Fiery earth' by Spanish-American composer Elisenda Fábregas. This work was co-commissioned by the Casals Quartet, dedicated to them, and represents a significant addition to the contemporary chamber music repertoire.

Known for their distinctive sonority, the Casals Quartet features an exceptional ensemble: violinists Vera Martínez Mehner and Abel Tomàs Realp, violist Cristina Cordero, and cellist Arnau Tomàs Realp.
