Program

Song Yi Jeon, a protégé of Grammy-winning jazz icon Dianne Reeves, is celebrated for her innovative compositions that weave together modern jazz harmonies, free improvisation, and traditional Korean musical motifs. This concert marks her Hong Kong debut with her Acoustic Trio, featuring pianist Jaehun Kang and drummer Paulo Almeida.

To elevate the performance, Song Yi Jeon collaborates with Hong Kong-based visual and sound artist Chik Chi-him. This artistic synergy incorporates sound, visuals, and spatial elements, resulting in a multilayered jazz experiment that pushes the boundaries of contemporary music, showcasing the limitless possibilities of jazz within a modern artistic context.
