The Yak Hao Weaving Festival 2026 returns to The Mills for its third edition, running from May 30 to July 5, 2026. This year’s theme, "From Perspective to Textile: Every Thread is an Attitude," explores the wisdom, cultural background, and creative intent behind the ancient art of weaving. Through a combination of exhibitions, textile markets, and immersive sound installations, the festival invites the public to engage with the tactile warmth of sustainable fashion. ## Featured Artist: Serrini A major highlight is the large-scale crochet installation "Illusion of a Deserted Island" by local singer and artist Serrini. Suspended in the atrium, this three-meter-high masterpiece uses cascading blue and green tones to evoke the natural environment, serving as a meditative space for both the artist and the audience. ## Exhibition: From Perspective to Textile The exhibition at the Mill6 Foundation provides an intimate look into the creator's workspace. Featured designers include Still House, showcasing minimalist, timeless fashion, and the natural dyeing artisan Onka, who brings the atmosphere of a mid-century studio to life. ## Related Activities and Highlights We have curated a diverse series of events to deepen your engagement: 1. The Artisan Market (May 30–31): The largest textile-focused market in Hong Kong, featuring 40 local brands. 2. Second-hand 'Crab' Market (June 6–7): An initiative with Retrovert to promote sustainable fashion by giving pre-loved textiles a new life. 3. Immersive Sound Experience: 'Listening to - Kapok Love Letter': A theatrical sound journey exploring the stories of three generations of women. 4.
