Encounter at the Platform is a poignant stage play that dives deep into the complexities of human solitude. Set in a deserted and mysterious train platform, the story follows a man and a woman—complete strangers—who unexpectedly cross paths. While they share the same physical space, their minds remain anchored in distinct worlds: personal anxieties, lingering memories, and uncertainties regarding the future.

As the train remains delayed and communication channels break down, the platform transforms into a modern purgatory. The exits become magically sealed, trapping the two characters within an intimate, suffocating boundary. From initial suspicion and friction, their interaction evolves through raw conversations about death, unfulfilled dreams, and the longing for distant escapes, such as an elusive trip to Japan. In this claustrophobic yet revealing environment, they search for meaning through the simple act of touching fingertips—a desperate confirmation of existence.
