Building on the premiere at Freespace's The Room in March 2026, this upgraded version moves to the larger venue, The Box. It seamlessly integrates role-playing games, strategy board games, and live performance. Audience members are not merely spectators but active participants, choosing between the roles of "Humans" or "Gods" to collectively shape the destiny of the theatrical world.
Program
This "world-building game" draws inspiration from ancient myths. As "Humans," audience members must fight for resources, develop civilizations, and decide whether to cooperate or go to war with one another. As "Gods," they gain the power to manage resources and trigger world events. Using a specially designed application, every decision made by the audience directly influences the performance, creating an unpredictable century-defining duel. Whether you wish to experience the struggles of building a civilization or enjoy the thrill of playing god, this interactive performance promises an unprecedented level of engagement.
Performers
Concept, direction, and musical direction are handled by Jing Wong. The production features a stellar team including game designers Au Yan-chun and Cheng Ho-yin, and literary consultant Yung Siu-ting. The scenography and costume designs are meticulously crafted to transform Freespace The Box into a high-tension arena.
Venue & Access
Venue: Freespace The Box, West Kowloon Cultural District. Audiences are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the performance. Latecomers may have their participation status adjusted.
Ticketing
Tickets are priced at HKD 555 for both "God" and "Human" roles. The "Early God" phase offers pre-sale tickets, where attendees will receive a commemorative badge based on their session (limited availability). The general sale begins on July 31, 2026, with concessionary tickets available at HKD 360 for eligible individuals, alongside group purchase discounts.
