Overview
"Weak water, three thousand; I only take watercolor, ink, and traditional paper." This is an artistic journey exploring the intersection of distinct media, inviting you to delve deep and discover the beauty of artistic creation.
Led by experienced artist Szeto Chi-ming, this course guides students from the fundamental wet-on-wet watercolor techniques to exploring color tones, shading, mixing, and contrast. Simultaneously, the program introduces the core essence of Chinese ink wash painting, including ink rendering, line work, negative space, and concepts of space. Students will learn to seamlessly integrate these two distinct media, applying them to still life, florals, landscapes, portraits, and abstract compositions to express their own unique creativity.
