Remnant of Gravity

Program Overview

"Remnant of Gravity" is a contemporary dance performance that delves deep into the essence of life. More than just movement, the piece serves as a silent reckoning with gravity. Choreographer Kwok Ka-ying weaves a narrative where "sin" is materialized through physical tensions, falls, and descents, inviting the audience to examine the complexities and struggles buried deep within human nature. Over the course of approximately 50 minutes, the audience follows the dancers as they navigate the accumulation of desire and the mire of stagnation, searching for the remaining fragments—whether they be the glimmer of redemption or the eternal silence.

Performers & Production

The production is led by choreographer Kwok Ka-ying, featuring a talented ensemble of dancers: Chan Ming-yin, Lo Shun-kwan, Tsang Kei-man, Chan Yi-tung, Hui Wing-yau, Wong Hoi-ling, Chan Ho-tin, Li Cheung-yan, and Kwok Ka-ying herself. The haunting soundscape is composed by Cheng Chin-ching, while lighting and stage management are handled by Wong Ho-ming. Together, they create a highly charged theatrical space.

Venue & Ticketing

The performance will take place at the Fringe Underground, Fringe Club. Tickets are priced at HKD 200, with non-reserved seating.
