An Immersive Journey Back to the Ming Dynasty
Experience the legendary atmosphere of the Ming Dynasty in Deep Ploughing's latest production, "Dye Master's Last Wish" (《天工開物:染匠亡魂的遺願》). Set against the backdrop of the Suzhou Textile and Dyeing Bureau, this immersive game experience invites participants to step back in time, where they will take on the roles of skilled dye masters competing for the prestigious title of the "Dye King."
The Story
In the late Ming Dynasty, the Suzhou Bureau was the sanctuary for craftsmen to showcase their "heavenly" skills. However, behind the vibrant colors lies the resentment of a "mad genius." The Ming-era scholar Song Yingxing, who sacrificed his career to travel across the Jiangnan region, meticulously recorded the secret dyeing techniques of artisans in his seminal work, Tiangong Kaiwu. Unfortunately, his life's work remained unappreciated, and he died in sorrow. Today, his spirit wanders among the dye vats, searching for a successor who can truly understand the secrets of "Tiangong" (Heavenly Creation).
Why Join?
This is not your average theatre production. It is a unique immersive strategy and cooperative game designed for those who love interactive narratives. As a participant, you will:
- Become a Dye Master: Work with your team to prepare fabric for the noble concubines.
- Unravel Mysteries: Follow the footsteps of Song Yingxing and uncover the secrets hidden within the Tiangong Kaiwu.
- Experience Interactive Theatre: Engage directly with the performers and environment in a dynamic, ever-changing setting.
