Program

The technique of photogravure emerged in the 19th century, designed to permanently preserve optical images, and serves as the predecessor to modern photopolymer technologies. Over four sessions, this workshop will guide participants from fundamental principles to hands-on application, combining photographic light sensitivity with traditional intaglio printmaking. The curriculum covers professional techniques in intaglio etching as well as photogram applications, enabling students to utilize photosensitive principles to create richly layered and detailed works. Through a synthesis of darkroom techniques and modern photographic methods, participants will explore the infinite possibilities of transforming photography into printmaking.
