This year, they present the original musical 'Courageous Journey to the City of Sorrow,' a fantastical adventure set in a medieval kingdom that explores themes of courage, hope, and positivity.
Program
The story is set in 'City of Joy,' a place filled with happiness and positive energy. To maintain peace and harmony, the village elder dispatches four brave heroes with distinct skills—Captain, Ninja Fai, Sword God, and Magic Queen—to a place filled with negative energy: the 'City of Sorrow.' Their mission is to spread positivity and overcome the darkness. This musical, featuring the efforts and growth of the young performers, is a family-friendly production perfect for audiences of all ages.
Performers
The production is overseen by Artistic Director Cheung Ho-kin from Chung Ying Theatre Company, with a professional team including writer and co-director Chan Hing-to, composer and music director Wong Yee-lai, and co-director Ho Man-yee. The show features the talented students of the Muse Up! Youth Musical Theatre.
Venue & Access
The performance will take place at the Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Located near the MTR Hung Hom Station, the venue is easily accessible. Audience members are advised to allow sufficient time to reach the campus.

- Discounts: Concessionary tickets (HKD 120 / 90) are available for full-time students, seniors aged 60+, people with disabilities and their caretakers, and CSSA recipients. Members of the 'Chung Ying Energy Club' receive a 15% discount on regular-priced tickets.
- Special Arrangements: The August 9 performance is a 'Touch-Enabled' performance with Cantonese audio description. The August 8 performance will feature a post-show certificate presentation ceremony.
