Program

Adapted from "The Story of Nanke," the opera chronicles the life of Chunyu Fen, who enters the mythical "Kingdom of Huainan" in a drunken dream. Through a sequence of political glory, romantic longing, and eventual heartbreak, Chunyu Fen awakens to discover the transient nature of life. The play is divided into two parts, capturing the character’s emotional journey from the thrill of power to the profound awakening of realizing that life is but a fleeting dream. The troupe masterfully balances graceful choreography with emotive vocal techniques to deliver a poignant meditation on ambition and existence.
